What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamasI think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you traumaOverseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKKBut if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operatesMan, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

very good points... I cant debate you on many of them as I am not a history buff. I like to look at pretty pictures and the only politics i get in is when its time to vote.
But on the one point I do think I know a thing or two about is your comment about how great we as americans think our country is. Id have to say thats a pretty uneducated comment which sort of may disqualify the rest of your comments... again i cant fact check.
I have met a load of people outside of the US through retail jobs as a kid and at parties... whatever.. and I have heard two things: "My such and such country is beautiful and really is the best for this and that" and "America is so great and this is what makes it great etc...". So through at least 100 conversations in my day with people outside the US it feels like everyone has a pride for their country and an overall apreciation for America.
The people that i have found that dont like the US much are the ones that have a politically messed up country where either they just hate everyone thats just simply living without threat or where the US has come in to attempt to help and through that the lines of what help is are blurred.
I dunno... maybe you just see lame tourists and read the press too much... take a visit for awhile and hang out... your perspective would then be balanced.

raksasa,
totally man, asia will be a holder of many superpowers, and sooner than most people think too. China is developing fast, and i hope they kick americas ass, not militarily, cos that doesn't solve anything, as seen on TV in iraq, nothing has been resolved there, they've just deepend the wound inflicted on the middle east by the west, The UK included, we are just as guilty, and we know it, our government clearly doesn't represent it's people, and i'm sure the Bush administration doesn't represent 300 million americans either, but the people are not the issue here, its the foreign policies, the way business is masterminded all over 3rd wolrd countries, the way that huge multinationals (for the most part american ones, plus the obvous like Shell Oil) take what they want when they want it, the way America used to be Disgusted at the dictatorship in French Guiana, and publically say so, but now they've found $700,000,000 a year oil field, they are best buddies with the leadership and don't say anything about the atrocities he inflicts on his own people.
Yes, it's easy for us brits to hate the states for these things, and I do a lot of the time, but I also despise my own government, i hate the french leadership for banning head-scarves in schools many other leaderships, but hey, what the fuck do they matter, they are only puppets to the corporations now, you vote left, the left get it, then they get corrupted by money (E.g Lord Sainsbury being the head of the MAFF here and conveiniently running the 2nd largest supermarket chain) there are countless examples.
For those who care, read a book called "Captive State" very good educational reading

Rasko,
Can i just ask, who do you think made the video then?
- rasko40
how the fuck should I know who made it, I dont have sattelite fucking spycams you know.
But to think that your average North Korean is going to be brain-washed by this so-called 'propaganda' is quite honestly patronising, do you think their minds operate on some more primitive level or that they are unaware and awestruck by this amazing concept known as television and the media that they mindlessly believe whatever they are told in a badly drawn cartoon with a silly 'punk' song that cites "they stole our olympic medal' amongst its 'political' references. All this apparently coming from a Govt that keeps them opressed in poverty and brutality.
dont be silly.

hehe, thats funny.
though it looks more than a joke to me too.
somebody responded with "socialism at it finest".
well what do you know about socialism?! turn on your TV, theres propaganda everyday.
much more subtle than this video anyway.

the irony of globalisation.

on reason it's so easy to criticise america to americans it that the reaction you get from the majority is so dumb assed and uneducated, no wonder people generalise, because it's actually quite accurate.
- derbs20
Calm down dear...
Anyway if you think that political satire exists in North Korea, then you are sadly mistaken.
There is one state controlled TV channel, satellite dishes are banned, foreign newspapers are banned, the internet is banned... i'm not patronising the North Korean people, their minds operate on the same level as mine or yours. They just don't know any access whatsoever to information that is not state-controlled.
- rasko40
yes 'dear', I am aware of the regime in North Korea.

Everyone complains they're being stereotyped by these criticisms, the american people aren't all bad, most people are nice enough, they're just very uninformed. The american governement doesn't represent the american people, they represent the .01% that are the rich corporate elite.
In north korea the dictatroship controls the television, the radio, the newspapers, and pretty much everything else. That's really an interesting parralell to the US where a few very large corporations control the television networks, the radio stations, the newspapers, and pretty much everything else. In Bush's immediate family alone, there are three ceo's, two former ceo's, a president, a governor, a former president, and multiple disturbingly close ties to the Bin Laden family investment group, and the Saud family aswell.

"the new neo human revolution starts here ,in ASIA . the 20th century was yours . this new century will be ours "
Scary mentality you're sharing. Kind of reminds me when Khrushchev told the US and Europe he'd "bury us" in products back in the 1970's.
