I went for the 1st time in 1992, I had lost the olimpic ending, for some days. At that time I've studied Gaudy's art, until the Alan Parson Project's Vinyl, sorry I don't like it, I prefer racionalism. But I love the sea, wich is the best place where to rest on the send for a day? Maybe in barceloneta? And sure Barcelona is amazing: too square!

yes, i stayed in barceloneta which i loved because we were close to the beach and to the city.
last year i didn't go to any clubs cause i was there for sonar which
was just ok

BCN:
house clubs---> city hall, discotheque, salsitas, cafe royal, torres avila.
places to visit -----> everyone knows! ;)
and one recommendation ---> never go to maremagnum, there better places to waste your time
(and forget gaudi, arrrrrgh)

And dont forget to visit the sex museum at the Ramblas... I'll never forget that early 20th century porno movie...

Better spend your money elsewhere

Don't be a "guiri" (slang name for stupid tourists).
- jg_20
fair point. GUIRI
we hate the guiris.
dont be a fool: scape from the ramblas and never taste "sangria"
- pmrebel0
God, your all so bad...
Guys. You gotta go to the ramblas. You dont have to spend any money in there... And the sex museum is not so expensive.About sangria, well, here in Portugal people drink it a lot of it in the summer (and also get very drunk sometimes). If it is home made, with good wine and good fruits, believe me, it can be a nice fresh drink under the spanish sun... (altrough I'm not a great fan of sangria).

you have to go to Danzatoria. There are three of them, but you have to go to the one up Tibidabo. Before you can get some 'índrinking' at Maribleu a bit futher up the mountain with a beautiful view over BCN...

Wow, barcelona....everything is cool there! Been there last summer so I can recomend u the following:
Restaurant "4 Gats", it's a little expensive, but the food is very good and most of the time there's live music over there. Very nice! http://www.4gats.com/
And it maybe sounds stupid, but u should take a touristic bus tour, then u can see almost whole barcelona in one day. (segrada familia etc...)
And if you're a soccer supporter u should see the stadion.
I also heard that Danzatoria is cool, and also a club named something like CDLC (?)...been I haven't been there.
Have fun!
- jg_20
danzatoria?
thats a hole for fashion victims. if you wanna see the most horrible new trends, and the most... blablablabla....

Barcleona rules, it's pretty modern city, i think cause of olympics. Yeah if you wanna do the fully tourist thing, the touristic bus is the best bet, you can buy days in succsesion or day at a time, theres two routes, north and south, south is best in my opinion, you can do both in a day, depends on how long you take at places. Um, down by the beach theres millions of restuarants, plus an english pub, which probably sucks, could be a complete tourist trap there, just wandered didn't eat. Theres also the Spanish Town, which i thinks like 8euros to get in, and has discos apparently but didn't see any, that bit's open till 4am at weekends, people dont start getting there till after 12, but it's a bit theme parky I thought. Spanish dont eat till well late, places are dead before 10.30, 11pm. Didn't really go to any clubs, my experience of music scenes in continental europe so far have been baaad.
