My first mac was a Mac Classic with a huge 4mb ram and a 40mb HD, running System 7... ahhh those were the days
- jg_20
enjoy your new toy, brotha, is the best choice you could ever make.
System 7, yessssssssss, old old times!

The first one I owned was a PowerComputing Powerwave 150 with 1 gigabyte hard drive and 120 megabytes of ram.
The first one I used in school was a Mac II Se. It had a 7" black and white screen. I have no idea what the processor or drive had. If we were lucky, we could use the IIci with a color monitor and Photoshop.

My first mac was a Performa 580CD (yes that's right, it had a CD rom) with like 4mb of ram and a super-huge 500mb hard drive running system 7. i was so stoked to get hypercard for it too, my first experience with pre-historic "flash"

ah, my first mac
Mac Plus, built in green screen, 1mb ram and an external hard drive (ritzy!) of 10mb's!the only thing you could really do with system 6.3 was use clarisworks and play brickles. them's were the days

Sorry, and the new one:
G4, dual 1,25...All of them working like the first day...
- iDp0
Just got my 15in PB
- D_Dot0
obsolet..
how do you like the dual 1.25? I was thinking of getting a G5 1.8 and keeping my monitor, OR getting a dual G4 and a nice apple display.. What do you think?
- madino0
i have a dual 1 g4 at home and a dual 1.8 g5 at work. Not much difference...
Maybe if I was doing video work I would notice, but the small print and web stuff... both fly

For D_dot:
G4 dual is F A N T A S T I C.
I pay something like 1200 euros (+taxes), really more cheap than the G5. But, you know, the dual is only for some applications (video, photoshop...) for the renders...G4+your old monitor+new apple display. Two 17" is the best choice for web design...
