Im thinking of getting one as I imagine they are more reliable than american cars and have a higher resale value. I'll never buy another Chevy again. What is your opinoin on them?
- paulrand0
I have an Accord ex: dependable, comfotable, good value, unexciting
- Mimio0
Overrated and drive like shit. Try a Toyota or a German car.
- JazX0
that all depends on what type of American car your talking about. Not trucks, etc. Hondas are good but I wouldn't say they are a lot better than US cars or even German cars for that matter.

i have a passport. too bad it's almost all izuzu parts :(

They're just as much made in the states as ford or chevy if I remember right. I've come to the conclusion cars are cars until you got past the $60k+ bracket. I've known people to have problems with the whole spectrum of auto brands... i like my focus, but i know sooooo many people who've had problems... go with what you can afford and what fits your best interest. I'm likin the new accords..... and the new civic coupe's kinda stylin.

I love my VW Gti 1.8t. Its fun and for the same price as an entry level Honduh its a hell of a lot more fun to drive, not to mention the beautiful interior. If I were you I'd also check out Subarus..the WRX is hot and they're supposedly really reliable.

mazda3 sport just won best sports coupe under $35,000 from the north american vehicle jounalist assoc.
I bought one 30 mins after driving it, and I tested the VW 1.8T GTI and Jetta as well.

man, it's all relative, more than half the parts in US Cars are made in China and then assembled here, or even there. BMW's in USA are assembled in what South Carolina is it and where do the parts come from? DE or China?

I'm debating myself about getting a 2003 Accord, 2001/2002 Passat, or maybe 2002/2003 Maxima. And am just not really sure what I want.
I like the styling of the Passat the most, but it's abit plain inside, and doesn't have much center-console storage. And also potential maintenence costs are scaring me. Advantage Honda or Maxima with that.
I haven't gotten a chance to check out a Maxima up close, but I know it's got the 255hp.

I like the way VW's drive more than the equal priced japanese cars.
If you have the means... get the VW Golf r32 that is one bad ass mother fucker.
- iDp0
hehe yeah a guy at the office got a brand new r32...so hot!
I dig those Mazdas too but I believe they don't have a whole lot in the hp dept.

Hondas are pretty reliable from my experience, the civic my mom had lasts forever without a problem, and I had an accord (until it was stolen) and that was nice too... Just be careful because Honda's are a big target in the world of stolen vehicles. I have a Toyota Prerunner now and have always been drawn to Toyota as well... they last forever seemingly

I'm guessing they'll come out with and MazdaSpeed version of it. The MazdaSpeed version of the 6 is coming soon as well (to Japan at least) 280hp.
We had a car show here this past weekend and I got to sit in the 3. I was pretty surprised at how "not small" it actually feels when you are sitting in it. Good cabin design. Although I don't like the Red Lighting.

back to the poor guys Honda thread.
Honda's are pretty convenient as well when it comes to gas problem, especially with the price gauging of gas in the states...
