I'm heading to Miami - Orlando - Miami (3 weeks) next Monday (yeah I know I am missing the WMC... booked before the dates were released thinking I'd get a better deal.. doh!).
So what should I DEFINATELY not miss?

Fuacata night at Ayer Como Hoy in Little Havana.

By the way fuacata is live latin jazz (timbales, horns etc..) with a dj spinning. Its small and kind of underground. Always packed.
Dont miss out on the cuban food either. Versailles(economical) is a classic but there is better. There are really good restaurants all over miami its just depends on what you want to spend. Check out these areas: Coral Gables, South Beach, Coconut Grove. If you have time make a trip to the keys as well.
You are going to get some great weather.

Seriously? I only caught the Radio 1 covered bit and it sounded ok but you can never tell I guess.
Seems like the dance scene is pretty interesting over there at the moment tho.

im going to miami soon too. i was gonna head out next week (march 15) but i think spring break is still on no? and i dont really wanna go when its that crowded.
anyways..im looking forward to it..ive heard its a great place

i'll second Versailles. thought it was a rather good restaurant.
also a drink at the Delano just to see the garden. very decadent.

I kick it from Miami all day, everyday. The weather is insane today and with Spring Break in the making -- well, you know the ladies...
Besides that, the staff and I from areyougeneric.org will be doing a jam (out of Miami) in the couple weeks, want to help out?

i grew up on La Carreta, so i like that better than Versailles.
I live in Wisconsin now and could some of that 80degrees and sunny with that 30 minute rain at 4:30 in the afternoon.
That WMC has gotten harder and harder to find the dope shit every year.

Miami has some of the greatest strip clubs in the world. You have to go at least once.
Make sure you know where you're driving because you don't want to get lost.
Pretty much anything goes down there. People are real friendly to a certain point.
Its great to hang out anywhere from 1st street to 5th street on the beach when you're hung over. White sand, tons of women, and if you keep a low profile you can drink beers and smoke bowls on the beach.
So much to do in MIA...just go out and you'll find something.

Cheers for the advice. Doesn't Joes Stone Crab take a million years to get served. I read somewhere you could get some from the takeaway 'like the locals' but coming from Glasgow I will be pale white and red in patches so 'like the locals' seems a little unlikely.
Also cheers for all the fit 'girl' chat but I think my other half would have a few issues with the strip joint plan. I really should have exploited that one in Houston last year! I am sure I will accidently 'see' a few of the girls you are talking about but I certainly won't be looking! ')
Generic. 1stly. I love the stuff you are doing and I'd LOVE to help out but I fear getting arrested would spoil my holiday and TRUST me I would end up getting arrested. Let me know where you are doing it and I'll keep an eye out for you. It'd be cool to meet up and chat over a beer if we are at the same bit of the beach. Good luck with it.
