I am gonna get me DSL connection next week. But my home computer"s" are connected on a network, where the IP Addresses are static for several reasons. So if i get a DSL Router, can i still assign a static ip address for the router and still share the internet over all the computers? how would i do that?

Thats what the router is for... Just set it to give out addresses using DCHP starting from a number higher than your static IP's... so you'll have the static IPs taken care of, plus the DHCP server will assign IP's to any extra computers attached...

And set your firewall settings to redirect incoming requests for services such as http, ftp etc to the appropriate local IP...

It's usually quite clear in the browser control panel...

and... The router will have an external WAN IP (the one your ISP gives you) that is exposed to the internet, and an internal LAN IP (usually 192.168.0.1), which only the local network will see.
