I travel a lot and need good headphones for working while on the go. Actually, not good headphones--more like, sick headphones. Like, ask for them for your birthday headphones.
But they need to be compact or foldable or something like that. I'm not talking ear buds, either. I mean earmuffs you can wear for hours and pack away into a bag quickly.
Whatcha got for me?

i have these but they are a bit heavy, if you want to build you're neck muscles i'd recommend them, but they get hot in summer

I have the ones sexypixel has, my neck is huge now. If you're into sweating while you listen to music, they're perfect.

I agree with Contribute.
I've owned or tried most everything worth listening to and Grado is the bomb. http://hcmaudio.com/comp.asp?com…

Here, you can choose which pair of Grados you want depending on what your paychecks amount to...

They really are the best.

i have these, everyone laughs at me and them but i have the last laugh.. the sound is amazing and cheap too

and look how small they fold up
soon the world will follow my lead

and those koss have a lifetime warranty too, yes, that means forever

Amigos, I really appreciate the tips. The lifetime warranty is always a big plus.... huh.
Sennheisers are pretty solid. Some people go nuts over the sound, but they don't generally hit me quite that way.
Are those Grados durable? Again, these are going to be in a bag most of the time...
Neck building is not for me.

Grados are not durable, my brother broke the ones we got him for his birthday... goddamnit.

what do you think about the noise cancelling ones? i tried the bose new model a few weeks ago in the airport and was super impressed. these sony's are a third of the cost.

the bose model:

Well, the sony pair looked a bit more geared for rugged use and travel...looked smaller and lighter. I'll have to give them a listen.
Thx!

thanks earlier for the proposal! using it right now to finish up one of our own.
the bose also comes with a case that makes it more rugged. also, the latest bose (2) allows you to completely remove the cord from the earpiece - so you can pack it tighter and even just use it for the noise cancelling ability (if you're passenger in a car, or airplane, and just want quiet)
i'd try them out too. i was impressed.

Sennheiseer HD 25 - big recommondation. they are not to large, they are 'closed' (better don't use them while riding a bike or talking to your gf). and they are f*cking loud. including a fat bass.
I use them for DJing (also tried sony, technics and pioneer dj-headphones, but they never did it like the HD 25).beware: don't go for the HD 25 SP!

i second styleimp. HD25s light, loud, rugged and all parts are replaceable. shop around though in london the price varies a lot.

Sony MDR D77. Rarer than rocking horse shit.
They're 'shit the bed' good.
