Quote: "'Mel Gibson has lost it,' and I was reminded of what other writers have pointed out—that Gibson, as an actor, has been beaten, mashed, and disembowelled in many of his movies. His obsession with pain, disguised by religious feelings, has now reached a frightening apotheosis."

Well, again, I do live in America, don't I? I am trying to make money so that I can get the hell out of here, eventually, so that means marketing, marketing, marketing...let's talk about it some more so that my evil plan comes to fruition (maniacal laughter).

Shock:::::::
nobody notice the fact that Gibson's father is a holocaust revisionist and Gibson wouldnt distance himself from his fathers comments.

I don't think that there is a hidden anti-jew agenda to gibson's reasons behind his film.
However kooky his father is - he is still is father, and most probably blinded by love to some repect.
I for one, think it's good the film has been made, because it's making a lot of people think and talk about religion, either in a positive or negative way - and ultimately any healthy discussion on the topic can only be a good thing.
