I'm glad to see you're furthering great web design through your site Mr. Wouter Wijtenburg, oh, hang on....

For example: just look at http://www.datecam.com/ that site is soo static but on the other hand verry interactive (communicating with cams). But imagine doing this with your tv. Plug your digital camera in the device and upload your home-video telling about yourself. The other person is watching tv on this or her device and just like MSN or ICQ, i messages while watching your movie :
"NAME wants you to talk to him and put your requested movie The Godfather Part 3" on hold.
Will you accept"Would be damn nice would it?

Anyway, im not a nerd or geek.
Im not technical at all, im only interested seen from a design perspective... i think there's much that will come the next five years. What would you all like to see happening to the web?
- rasko40
on an unrelated sidenote; isn't 'I love my work' what rent boys write on those Man2Man cards you see in phone booths?
thats what my friend told me anyhow.

i think the whole notion of an 'all in one device' is too far away to even think about.
as long as there's 'marketeers' there'll always be a multitude of devices and formats.
the web as we know it will will exist, in 10 years time, with annoying 2 gig flash XXXX intros.
(without a skip button!)

I would not know. Im not into the Man2Man scene... man...

yup. who wants to watch tv on a computer?
it may be an option, but i'd rather sit on a comfy sofa.
but tv will get more interactive, and immersive.. i'm working on a project now that will allow your PSX to be your 'all in one tv' - with a media library , downloadable content etc

indeed. I want a sofa. And I dont want to interact with the TV... I want to sit there dumbly and not have to think all that much...

I think (and a technocratical part of me kinda hopes) that in the future, the web will shed its graphical fronteneds and will become pure information. RSS feeds will replace everything, feeding information directly into our computers, if not in our brains. Google will grow to encapsulate all human knowledge, and there will be parsers that will be able to access that information with much greater ease. It is still the dawn of the information age, my friends.

now THATS what i meant. but then, i also did not meant to be watching tv on a computer. but a future tv-installation with a pc in it. just the whole other way around. for example, my new monitor will be a '60 inc. phillips plasma tv, really. Then actually there you have the installation. Not a TV in a PC, but a PC in a TV. Get that?

yeah. i'm building myself this pretty soon:
