Hi,
In the past I posted here for feedback on my site and on other projects I have done.
You always provide great feedback and constructive critisism. Anychance you could have a look at: http://www.smithpaul.com and tell me what you think this time around ?
Cheers,

Hi Paul,
your rollovers (done in css i guess) are flickery on my machine, Win 2000, IE 6. I agree with rasp it's pretty bloggy.
In your about section your pics were all squashed, but all right now. I'd lose the pic of you on there because you looked stoned/tired/drunk.I wouldn't title it a design journal, and if you stil want to call it that sort out your title text, Journal looks like Joumal.
I didn't know what Exits meant. Perhaps it's a blog thing.
I expect it's all W3C'd up. Quite nice, but a little dull, kind of looks like a template.

hi paul
it's very blog like.. i can't really say i like it but hey, that's not the point. i'd make the shadows smaller and much softer , the menu is big to me, maybe something more subtle , apart from that it's very clear layout and easy to read.. hahem.. one last thing : the icons.. get rid of them
nice job overall : clean

there are some anomolies within the copy whereby extra spacing appears on the last line of some para's.
The copy in the main column looks pretty huge on my machine and is generally hard to read and uninspiring, nothing made me want to try, maybe an idea to break up the copy with images or indented quotes enlarged or something, typical editorial tricks.
It does look a bit dull too but thats not a major problem for me as long as you make the content interesting and easier to read.

"the illustrations, graphics and images I create go to waste"
- Perhaps you could use them within the site to add visual interest, as the site is very text heavy.
Your photo in "about us" was squashed but is ok after refreshing.
Well done by the way, looks like you've put alot of work into this.
I agree about the icons, I'm not overly keen on them, or the big shadows, but that's just a personal preference.
