Fucking amazing line-up this year. $140 for both days.
Looks like I'll be going again!

fuck i live in texas
- Casio_Nova0
Possibly, possibly flying out there from Chicago.
But I grew out of the big crowd events a few years ago. Don't have the stomach for it.But so many good bands...The Cure headlining the second night...Radiohead the first, Mogwai, Air, Deathcab, so many good ones.
- Gorbie0
It's only 1,400 miles away Seff!!! Actually I met a couple Tejanos last year...
Casio - I think you kinda have to expect BIG crowds when you see bands like that on one bill.
I went last year, and the crowd wasn't the problem - the beer price was.

Gorbie,
I went to RockFest in 1997 when I lived in Texas. There were over 300,000 people there, at a huge Indy/Nascar speedway outside of Ft. Worth.
My home was about a 20 minute drive from the place, and it took us 3 1/2 hours to get out of the parking lot alone!
Were not even great bands there, lineup was bands like Collective Soul, Counting Crows, Jewel, No Doubt, Bush (who closed it out and were excellent-playing Glycerine to that many people would be incredible.) Sugar Ray (sick, just sick and God-awful to listen to)So many people there, I think it was one of the biggest concerts ever in the US. Crowd was well over 300,000

wow... thats alot o' people. there weren't that many @coachella.
there was horrible traffic on Saturday. HORRIBLE!
They made some security adjustments, and we got there much earlier on Sunday - and we drove right on in.
Sunday was awesome - and the bands this year are much better in my opinion. I'm going for sure.

Hip hop got dicked this year.
- joejoe0
I'm wondering if it's better to camp or get a hotel room?
- shant0
I slept in the car in the nearby town. Just find a residential street and BAM.
- Gorbie0
hotel.
I found a cheap one (two days before the show) which is very very very rare.
start looking now. Get a group of friend to split the bill, and yer set.
- Gorbie0
hip hop got dicked cause there was like 5 people bobbin' their heads in a big ass tent.
- Meeklo0
wow..
Im just considering going there to see FSOL
- shant0
5 people?
Were you there last year? Talib had a full crowd going for the second stage, and Beastie Boys were headliners.
- Bluejam0
"Im just considering going there to see FSOL "
that's what i was thinkin'... especially after downloading a ton of stuff from here...
- Meeklo0
Thanks Blue!
That is one of my favorites bands.
What about the user and pass?
- Bluejam0
Meeklo
