I'm looking for some feedback on these logo comps. http://www.absolutenorth.net/cli…
The company creates software to help weigh information for use in decision making. Thanks in advance.

I'd like to see no.1 with the (colour) dots joined as in no.3.
Think you might have something there.
- stewart0
that is a scientific logo study.

Only show them #1, it's the best one. I would make the dots one color but different shades of that color. You might wanna try making all the dots slightly different seizes, in a way they could represent the whole aspect of "making a decision" they symbolize different options.

number one is the most original one and also looks the most contemporary.
other ones have oldfashioned typography and concepts.

4 is the only one dig. The rest seem to detached from the icon or too cliché.
- stewart0
what about shifting the individual characters?

#1 - firs one.
#2 - blue bars.
#5 - second one.

agree with stewart, and about making the dots slightly diff sizes and diff shades of the same colour
maybe make the logo a bit smaller in your mockups also, i like seeing logos smaller

love the very first one.

I think you should make the dots that belong to a letter stand out a little more, w/ other size, color or something the decorative ones doesn't have.
Looking good.

I like the first logo the best
( the one with colored dots)

Thanks for the quick feedback - I hope to sell them on the 1st one. I have taken your advice and made some variations, let me know what you think: http://www.absolutenorth.net/cli…

number one for sure, only show them three...you never want to confuse people with more.
- Bluejam0
Looking good.
Like the last two, the blue dot one and the join-the-dot one.
Combine?

Present one choice, tell them ("bullshit") why it is the best solution, use big words, and complicated reasoning for why you did what you did. Then if they dig it cool, if not, tell them you could show them some of your other ideas you had.

the type of the last draft is a bit too Georgia...

Thanks for all the advice folks. I think I'm going to print your comments and use them during the presentation.
Good advice S79, I did promise them several options but I'm going to go hard on one.
I added the blue one with the line Bluejam.

The 5th variation on the first logo is the best. Gotta have those dotted lines in there to make it work.
I'd recommend playing with that idea a bit more and showing a lot of those to the client.
Leave one of the bad ones in the running just so the client can feel like they have SOME eye for what is good and bad. Then pray they don't choose it. :)

I like the very last one you did with the the blue balls and dotted lines. It works perfectly with what they do.

Not bad, I would suggest you to play around with the word METRIC, try to incorporate an object unless the company has a big / serious corporate identity.
