somebody has an art degree, and it's going to waste. coff*fresno*
Love the site.
works fine for me smooth like silk G4 OSX 64 Meg Nvidia Safari...
no laggies

i like the site, i dig that style.
well excecuted too. the button thing is an issue to address though.and to fresnobob.
that rant was very well said and is sentiment close to all designers hearts i'm sure, but alot of clients just want to control work and ruin good work in the process, but because they are paying, we do, unfortunatly have to do what they say.

Nothing happening on Safari for me. Blank page syndrome.
OS 10.3.2 / Safari 1.1
- dstlb0
Just checked it on IE and it's fine but you need to embed that swf in html if you want it working in Safari (which you do, don't you).
- nsurgents0
Nice. Rollovers will be fixed. Numbers at the bottom is the easy way, I wonder if there's a better answer...
Also, for safari, apparently it doesn't like the swf embeded to php... Hm.
I used a php call to load the swf instead of html to help with the lag issue (which i STILL dont know why is happening). It makes a huge difference, but apparently makes it unusuable in safari.
Great....
Anyone experience the same? Any ideas?

Seems to be working ok in Safari 1.2 (I just updated). Maybe you could put a browser detect page in?
- nsurgents0
Yeah, I could add the detect for safari, but then what happens if it's safari and mac? The script will tell it to go to the html embed, which on a mac causes lag.
Maybe I should start over, recode it. Problem is i can't see where it went wrong... Never had this delay in framerate issue before.

lovely. The imagework is a bit attik, not a bad thing.

looks good...
nice attention to detail...
one thing... if you've just 'finished' it... why is the 'Mo' section coming soon..?
- Bunkum0
Hey it's really nice but the fonts a bit boring.

Why do it in Flash? Seriously? It's hard to get Jpegs of any work you want to take as examples and t doesn't load as fast as good o' HTML.
The *idea* doesn't rely on the technology. What is the idea behind it anyway? Are those small bits of type by the big bits of type on the buttons supposed to look like periodic table? In which case do it purely as a pastiche of that, rather than think you're subtley borrowing from the world of science.
Back to the Flash. Seriously, your commercial Flash work should speak for itself. Content is better than decoration. How would you feel reading a newspaper with elastic bands between each page, pinging them back and forth. GREAT IDEA! Get magazine to move around all crazy! But ultimatly something you don't want for more than ten seconds.
That is all.

I'm not crazy about the style. I hate that washy blue, not just on your site but in general.
In the web section, the text says click on the image to visit. But you can't get to the image because it disappears when you move the mouse off the button. That's really annoying.
I don't think the combination of the motion blur text movement, and the smooth movement between the sections complement each other. They jar to me.
It's rather work light, as in, there's not that much on there.
I agree with the Periodic table comment too.And you should DEFINITELY include a link to at least an email address. You seem to assume only crap clients will surf in and phone you. What if you missed out on someone great because you didn't give them a chance to contact you.

PS, i think the futuristic 3D stuff is quite nice. And I normally don't like that style.
