Lucid what Korg do you have?
- lucidblack0
an old X5 (vintage, yo) - and a Karma

I just ordered a microKorg - just needed a basic synth and for the money it has a ton of features - and the vocoder is fun as hell to play with.

another really great piece of hardware that controls program like Reason and Abelton: http://www.evolution-uk.com/prod… highly advised, we have two ;)

that is a good controller jaz - easy on the wallet and very functional - i mean, when you really think about it - all controllers are are just gigantic mice. but most definately handy when tweaking in real-time while recording before editing any automation... definately handy

Hey all...a STUPID question. I wanted a keyboard for my kid to bash around...will the $99 M-Audio work without being hooked up to speakers/equipment? I mean, can she hear the sound via a built in speaker? Spec sheet says nothing. Plus, it's USB powered...does it also work with batteries?

pocho,
No, anything you see listed as a controller keyboard or MIDI controller doesn't have built it sounds....They are just controllers that need software to trigger sounds. You just wantt o get a regular keyboard and not a controller.....Check out http://www.zzounds.com thay have the best prices on the web from what I've seen...
