Might be the 2002ti. It's got after market minilites on it that one.
You can pick one up in UK for about £2000 - £5000. Won't be a minter but it'd run and you could probably use it daily.check this site out for info on the 2002

doh! I officially loathe BMW.. My roommate blathers on about them all day obsessed like some crazed-celebrity stalker.. That and it seems like everyone and there mother around here drives one, albeit a silver 3series like my roommate. Don't be persuaded to join the dark side. :)

Drove the RS4 on Nürnburgring a while ago, MTM equipped and all that, 625 hp. Did the same track with a 911 Turbo stage 3 (620 hp) later that day. 30(!) seconds slower.
The RS4 without speed limit is absolutely insane.

Face it, if you have to all that stuff to a car to make it interesting, it wasn't very interesting in the first place was it?If i needed an estate (which i don't) and had something like £40,000 to play with (RS4 sort of money), i think i'd buy an old Grananda or Peugeot 405 estate, and spend the rest on a TVR Griffith or a mint Mustang Mach 1 or something at least interesting

jnr you should get the lotus..you wont be sorry.. the 3 series drives just fine and is a great car it doesnt replace teh 2002 on the other hand the lotus just quite simply rocks. I have had mine for three years and used to drive everyday back and forth to the office now my office is a lot closer so i just walk . You will never regret your first Lotus purchase. I am waiting for my Elise ... later this year.
oh and I am homeles so I can afford it .. just kiddingpagepapa

dont buy BMW unless you're going to buy the M3 ..
for the money, get an Audi a4 .
same price, and you get ALL WHEEL DRIVE . can't beat that .

I don't know if the 325xi is worth the price. But the resale is better than Audi. Plus you'll have the knowledge that you're not driving a souped up VW.

the audi is about the same....184 horses versus 210 horses both 0-60 in 7 ish seconds....
with one disadvantage for me...
I am 6 foot 7, and I don't fit.
I like beemers as I always fit.
