Rebekah del Rio's rendition of Roy Orbison's 'Crying' [Llorando] is good enough reason to see it.
lindo.

it's a simple film, really, it's about a film director (lynch) making movies in hollywood with actresses (one of which he was married to) and a metaphysical critique of hollyweird....

Common people. This is the greatest movie ever made. Once you figure out the plot, it's even better.
Here's Salon's take on it: http://dir.salon.com/ent/movies/…

You can definitely figure it out. Watch it again.

everything up to the bit where everything goes crap for her is a dream.
oh and bruce willis is a ghost.

there's two main concepts in the movie...1) Reality vs. fantasy (including dreams and nightmares) 2) How hollywood, tv, and movies distort our realities and fantasies to the point where a lot of people don't know the difference.
About half of the movie is one character's vision/fantasy of what could have been or what will be...in other words, their fantasy. Like a dream parts of the movie throw in symbolic characters and real-life characters that would only intersect in our dreams. For example, at the dinner party there are a lot of random people walking around (like the guy with the cowboy hat) that were introduced earlier in the movie. Their random appearance is testament to how our dreams often work, where people that we know, that don't necessarily know about the other people we know, come together. does that make sense?
anyhow, it's been a while since i've seen it and that's my short version of the whole thing...but it's definitely worth seeing a few times.

also, something to do with this one

the walrus was Paul.

mirola is right.
It's understandable, really simple, and a brilliant flick. Once you know the scoop it's fun to watch it again and put all the pieces together.

you need to watch it backwards.
- Gorbie0
how could one see the screen when watching it backwards?
do you just listen?
- frankNbeans0
It makes sense if you see Lost Highway first. In that movie you figure out that he makes horrible movies.

Flatulence has it right: A brilliant display not only of cinematography and concept but of raw intrigue and multiple plots.
And all the Lynch haters should probably go check out the series of Mummy movies, Glitter, and the Britney flicks made for 10 year olds- maybe they would enjoy those better.
- Gorbie0
Glitter was good.
If you watch it backwards.
