just saved enough to buy a new powerbook running osx. but not enough to upgrade to MX 2004.
i hear flash MX has some problems with OSX, how bad is it? and should i keep saving for the upgrade.
anyone running this setup?
what sort of problems does it have?

font, font, font issues.
also importing paths from illustrator tends to be flaky.

sounds like a MX2004 problem and not a OSX one to me. no problems here, G5 dual runs like a dream.....

The shortcuts with the option key don't work. Macromedia knows about it.
Cmd Option C
Cmd Option Vetc.

that doesn't sound too bad, there are some work arounds for those problems. what about speed?

there 'memory leak' issues, whatever that means. what i experience is that flash mx uses like 25-30% CPU time if you it's open for more than 10 minutes (i can spend like 8 hours in it) so periodically you'll have to close and reopen if you want your mac to run normally. totally sucks. 2004 takes care of this little prob.
