I bloody love this band.....and I can't quite place why...maybe because they remind me of certain points of my adolescence, and recent times...it's not because I was ever a goth or anything...there's just something about the music...it really touches me...
Who does it for you?

"I don't care if monday's blue, tuesday's greeey"
yes - they're great!
I also enjoy Creedence every now and then. People say Fogerty's got a whiney voice, but I just slap them.

Never really taken the time to listen to the Cure, when they were around I was taking the piss out of the goth kids a couple of years above us at school so made a point of not liking them. They are good though, jst haven't got anything by them.
New Order and Echo & The Bunnymen are my favs from that time, quality. Managed to see both of them in the last couple of years and wasn't disappointed (except by Barney's fat gut).

me its Radiohead... yeah I know its not original to say ''i like radiohead''... but for me its true.
Iam a fan since their first album, i was 13 years old at this time. When they release Ok Computer I was 17 years old, Ok Computer changed my life. Ok Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the thief are all great for me. their music is very deep and touching and i like the melancholy of their work.
I've seen them in concert for the first time last summer, i was shaking like a little girl, they are great! Thom York is my hero :P
For sure its not original to say that i like radiohead that much but... what can i do. Iam listing to this band since 12 years now. I hope i will listen to them 12 more years.

oh may I add Pink Floyd !
same as Radiohead to me.GREAT!

jox admitted to me once that he frequently masturbates to gay porn while listening to the cure....

TheCure are brilliant, thats all there is to it, to say otherwise is like saying "the Smiths are shit" or something... which is obviously bollocks.

I highly suggest the Cure's Mixed Up CD if you can find it. Close to Me (Closer Mix) pretty much plays exclusively on iTunes for me :D

yup, cure rock. just wanted to throw in the fact that a new box set of ALL their B-sides is coming out january 27. info is at www.thecure.com.
i've collected some b-sides over the years and they are seriously as good as any of the other stuff they have released.
i'm also interested in hearing the trilogy but haven't put up the money for it yet.

Disintegration, Entreat, Seventeen Seconds & The Head On The Door are great albums
I heard a rumour that all their LPs are gonna be released on mid-price in the UK this year

that cure mix cd of quambs is the best. Out with the crap - in with the good.
should dig up and post super tracklisting.

New Order does it for me
But i used to dislike Cure. I don't even know why, i just didn't like his voice. But now i can enjoy them. Not a big fan though
