Why would someone just want to see the clients you've worked for though? I mean besides superficial companies.

The "client" section on design company sites. Isn';t this just meant to be a list showing who've you've worked for and maybe have a link to them. Not actually show the work you completed for the client? Isn't the actual work meant to go in a Portfolio section? I know you can have the work in the client section, but think of it in terms of what the majority do.
Also, what resolution do most of you design for?
