This version doesn't seem to want to do anything without crashing a whole lot. Anyone else?

Post a good serial # and I'll let you know.
For a friend's friend, of course.

works real good here (same OS and AE version).

Works fine! But I had sme problems with old versions of some plugins...

I'm using it here at work on 10.3.2 & 10.3.3.
No problems
(knocks on wood)If you are using older plugins they might be messin' you up. Toolfarm.com has a list of the most recent / compatable plugins for AE6.

You should also check on the OpenGL capabilities of your graphics card... turn off Dynamic Preview acceleration in the prefs:(AfterEffects>Preferences>...
see if this changes anything. If it does then it could be related to your graphics card. See also:

If this doesn't work, definitely remove third party plug-ins and repair disk permissions. I am running on 10.3.3 and have no problems at all (nor did I on 10.3.2).

Third Party Plugins . . . I had to remove them becuase they were corrupting my files (on mac OSX)

works phenominal on my PC (3.2 GHZ w/1 gig Ram & 128meg vid)...
... my mac - ( OS 10.3.2 - G4 dual 1.24ghz, 1 gig Ram 128meg vid)... works kind of iffy, doesn't crash - but can't compete with the PC.

Just installed it on my powerbook, G4 & fW800. It seems to work fine, but i won't really know until next quarter.
