"The other responses were just people trying to sound funny or cool cause they know outside this forum they lost at life. "
wow, you know so much about us.
yes, i agree with your critique. but it helps if you bring it in a slightly more diplomatic manner...

"wow, I did'nt realize how upset some outside opions would make you guys. Why do you take my opinion as a personal attack, are you so stuck on yourselves that anyone who dares question you is wrong. "
I dont take your opinion as an attack at all, in fact I know there is other web designers on this same forum, that think just like you.
I just think that in the web, you have the freedom that you don't have in other mediums, if you dont like something, while look at it?
What you are doing is censorship, and that applies for video, web, print etc.
With all the respect you deserve, how would you feel if somebody will tell you to how to make your reel?
I dont like the animations you do in the middle, its confusing and blah blah blah?
Live and let live. my friend.
Please do not feel that you are not welcome here, Im sure nobody here ment their replies in a bad way.

we here at NT are psychos, no worries ;)

so we're supposed to support you because you make a meaningless rant that looks like borderline flamebait? you should re-read your original post, you weren't posting to get an intelligent dialouge on the subject started. you were passing off your opinion in a sarcastic manner. it's funny to see you get all worked up over it though.

I think you need to relieve some tension or something?

5 dollar happy ending...

look, i'm probably one of the biggest protagonist for web standards and usability on nt...but this thread has the distinct smell of troll...

I like websites that have flashing banner ads, is that ok?
- plamenski0
The man has a point.
Why do you think this industry is in such mess and most of us on the brink of bankruptcy (including myself)?
Do I need to remind you about what happened th 4cy recently?
There's a reason to everything.

"WAKE UP THE HONEYMOON IS OVER!!!"
you can say that again..
- Mick0
What happened to 4CY?
- paulrand0
I never had the honeymoon part-- when was it?

Who cares?
If you don't like it close it. Most blinking gif ultra simple websites look like crap also. I think Bill O’reilly is a fucking loser, so... I don’t watch him. I turn off the box. Survival of the fittest. If it doesn’t work it will die eventually.

i didnt take it as a personal attack, but it seems as though you have done no market research and have concluded that your way is the best way. people who go to our funky navigational/sideways/bass-ackwa... sites are intrigued at how "cool" it looks. its proven that a fullscreen website is more provocative than a simple low bandwidth site that has no effects or animation. end users that see their AIM windows and email clients in the background are distracted by that. a fullscreen site will block that and immerse the *pardon me* simple minded user in an environment that our client has paid for. clients get business = we get business. a flashy, immersive, interactive site it a better seller than a simple, conventional site that is too basic to keep the user there long enough to buy something. yes, minimalistic views have there good points, but somtimes, depending on the client.. crazy is NECESSARY.
2 thumbs up for all the web desingners that stay up for a week to produce the annoying site that shone closes immediatly!!
