i saw a similar post a few months ago but i can't find it .. is it possible to to a blue to transparent gradient in AI ?
thx a lot
and hello everyone btw : how is it going ? ;)

check the Transparency window and opacity masks.
the blue would be a solid colored filled path and the opacity mask a black/white gradient, you can also have multiple gradients in a single opacity mask, very flexible.

that's the best way to do it. You can also use darken or any of the other transfer modes in the transparency pallette if yoiu need a quicker solution in a simple situation.
Just be carful about flattening raster objects like that if you're working for print.

blending modes plus gradient color combinations till you achieve the desired one,
see, no so hard...

Watch out for illustrator saving your files as PDF's. Seems to happen all the time for me when using transparancy.
