king, I'm living in barca since 8 months now...
go and get lost in the gracia area (metro 'fontana' of green line) is nice and cool allot of bars ans small shops/laboratory of clothes, expeccially check around 'verdi' street, all this area is usually unknown to turist

Kinda sorta. Nothing at all like they do in scandinavia or holland. The english speaking level is low to so so among average folk. Brush up on your spanish. More importantly, if you arent already informed, its very helpful to understand spain's recent history (franco) and the history of the different communities. Not a lot of people know that there are atleast 5 languages spoken. In Barcelona (catalunya) the official language is catalan, for example. Its good to understand why, especially if you plan to meet natives. have fun!
