hey Puffi....Forum have 2 year warranties now.
on that topic...i do have to say that burton warranties kick ass...i guess that is the plus side...if your board delams and its they're fault you'll have a new stick in 48 hours...now that is kick ass!

this is why I said it probably changed, but they used to be good (even one of the best) boards but just for one season...

in Canada Forum is the number 2 board in sales behind Burton of course.
As i said earlier...this is my first Forum...i get em free so I can't complain...but so far i really like my deck.
my roomate rides a nitro shogun and loves it...rides pretty nice and i have a few other buddies who ride rossi's and love too.
like Puffi said...demo em if you can!

don't put too much in the gear, keep for riding.

yeah I would tend to agree with you guys, I don't ride Burtons anymore since the Jeff Brushie Pipe Board circa 1993. But like I said, I've only used Joyride's and Santa Cruz's and once a buddy's MorroW. They're far superior in design and use. But I know this guy will find a Burton at his shopping mall or ski outlet/ :)

good prices / decent gear all-around / great for starters...

dakine still kicks ass...i rock a pair of their gore-tex gloves. their packs are tight....make a really nice photographers pack for on the mtn.
my buddy shin is on their pro team.
they are still very alive and kicking!

that's cool. I used a lot of DaKine shit and I guess back then more Burton Jackets than anything else. The ones with the Sub-Pop look-a-like logo, heheee

Oh yeah...
As far as inner/outwear goes - Patagonia is the shit for layering...it'll cost - but it's worth it..I sport NFA/Option outerwear, but only cos I get it free - and it's nice!

Nic, how did you manage to get the Option kit for free? Didn't realise you were sponsored ;)
- jevad0
heh....contacts baby - contacts....you know...throw a couple rodeos down infront of the right people and you're set!

Yeah I bet! More likely you've been hanging around the back of Boardwise when their shipments have come in - "need any help with those boxes lads?".
Watch him, he's dodgy, he'll nick anything.
- jevad0
hahahah!
seriously though - it helps doing a website for the company that distributes the gear ; )

I gotta second http://www.romesnowboards.com
rome was started by a couple of burton people that just got sick of all the corporate greed. They decided to make boards for the people that just love to ride and not jack up the price. And the boards rock. Best boards I have ever riden. demo one if their demo tour comes near. You won't be sorry. I ride burton boots and bindings because they are comfy and solid. Go with feel more then anything. And neversummers havebeen/are tanks. They ride nice, but they are heavy.
Good luck

I second the rome boards vote - great rides!

I ride an Illuminati at the moment, wicked boards... http://www.ill23.com/
The Hybricon came top 10 in TW Snowboarding's review last year.
