Damn, you're good. Thanks man.
Speaking of mind-altering experiences and Zappa. Anyone see 200 Motels? Completely insane. Up there with the Monkee's Head.

it's not rabbit, but RAM it and it's from the Sheik Yerboutti album.
the track is:
Broken Hearts Are For Assholes"Hey! do you know what you are?
You're an asshole! an asshole! Some of you might not agree
'cause you probably likes a lot of misery
But think a while and you will see...
Broken hearts are for assholes
Broken hearts are for assholes
Are you an asshole?
Broken hearts are for assholes
Are you an asshole too?
Whatcha gonna do, 'cause you're an asshole..."

I just remember I saw Zappa once. I think it was around 1988-90, Nassau Colliseum, Long Island. Great show. He did an amazing cover of I Am the Walrus. He spent a lot of time waving a batton like a conductor, which I thought was funny. Then, when he was in the mood, he would jam on the guitar for a while. The other musicians were great too.

Ha! yabyum thats the same way I heard Zappa for the first time. Mine was sort of liquid-y. I remmeber the exact line... thats how i found the quote above. Searching for that part of the song.

Dahhh, thanks for the name though. I'll check into that song and see if that's the one.

nope not me, all my Zappa CDs were stolen. sucks :(
- yabyum0
not a clue. If you have a sample, I would love to hear it.
- JazX0
was it called, 'The Runner'?
- yabyum0
what was that song of his that kept saying "Get the Rabbit up the Poop-chute!".
I heard it once after someone had given me some funny tasting paper and things got kinda wierd. Wasn't sure if it was the actual lyrics or if some type of freaky, subliminal, rabbit love shit was being realized in my mind.

I once saw Frank Zappa's work at a Planetarium Star show, it was quite weird, but entertaining. Everything was triggered in real-time according to the change-ups in his music. Not sure how they did that, maybe along the same lines as MIDI controllers.

thx, greedo... Bobby Brown is a must!

zappa will always be one of the greatest. I didnt realise it was 10 years but I am listening to hot rats by coincidence (on which Beefheart plays also)

"You 're presuming, as most Americans do, that cynicism is a negative value. I happen to think it's the only thing that will enable a person to survive the late 20th century. If you demand to be shown verification for everything people tell you, you're going to take it up the poopshoot every time you turn around. Cynicism is good for you. It's healthy. Who needs friends? All they do is borrow money from you.
"- Frank Zappa.

also was on the best SNL I ever saw. Zappa and the Coneheads. Priceless.

loved the guy and I don't really know much of his music. I love Apostrophe. Some of the funniest, well written, funny and funky tracks. Some of it even reminds me of the Beastie Boys jamming.

Zappa is one of the most influential musicians in my opinion, unfortunately sometimes underrated...
I will never forget Amsterdam's Philarmonic Orchestra playing some of his most interesting work. Surreal.

wow that went fast
