hey fuzco.....I think I am pretty good at animation...considering the time I have to make things.....Do you have any links for me to see.....not really looking for cartoon animation or fine art stuff though....Let me know....

hey jevad - i didn't mention that i am an art director type for print and motion - and i am sure that if you are a programmer and web design monkey there could be a bit more demand for that in this area - and i would imagine if you are swimming in the aquent pool you will have better luck. things are looking much better in this market than last year too.

Ok, im bringing this doggy back to life. I went in to test and try to place for jobs at Aquent in LA today. Nice office, nice people. But I was damn rusty in Quark and didn't complete the test. They told me that most or the current jobs are for production work...not really my type of work but sometimes production is ok, depending who you are working for. How I read that somebody aced the test, anyone else take their assessment testies? I passed pshop no sweat. Bombed Quark. Anyone else with good/bad experiences with this agency?

Aquent is OK. They take a cut, but you get work and contacts that you more than likely would never get. I started at 22.50 and hour and am at 25 currently. plust you can do your own thing on the side as long as you don't try to steal work for them.

I have done some work for the Sydney office. They are pretty good really, you need a good agent who knows what he is doing, and I certainly have that, he even bought me a few drinks.
I've found that speculative emails to companies along with Aquent and one other, has kept me in work pretty much constantly
