I would consider myself more of a wanker than a tosser.

- swollenelbow0
uhh...yes, you could be exploring the fact that there is another paris hilton tape that will never see the light of day.
- JazX0
I'm for sure a wanker too

You have to be an arse licker or something to become CD. Not a tosser.

for supposedly Creative Directors you dont half spend a lot of time on here......hmmmmnn....i believe some maybe telling porkies....!!!
- Blofeldt0
Not me, but i expect like other CD's on here we're modern CD's. A product of the dot com boom, who also double up as designers, traffic handlers, project managers, creatives and artworks.
Not like old fashioned ad agency CD's who supposedly do fuck all and just annoy people.
It's great oh yes.
- Blofeldt0
Although i double up as an artwork. Others are artworkers.
- save0
so in other words your the only designer, and thats what you call yourself.....
- swollenelbow0
get with the program save. you don't just call people out like that. seriously.
but whatev. i'm a mexican creative director.
- save0
errrr.... gringooooooo!!!
- Blofeldt0
No, i've got two designers (beside myself) and two developers.
It's expected that every agency no matter how small has a Creative Director. It's a title that prospective clients expect to see, and they expect to meet the 'creative director.' I have to do creative director stuff, like conceptual thinking, deconstruction, lead a project, and oversee all the creative output across every medium. As well as design stuff and artworking.

PS.

I do exactly the same as you apart from I don't artwork. I don't class myself as a CD, I really can't stand titles.
- Blofeldt0
well, i guess you class yourself as a, well i don't know.
But being aCD rather than a designer is different. The buck stops with you, it's your responsibility. And you have to have people to creativly direct. So if you're a freelance designer, you wouldn't class yourself as a CD. Unless you were a freelance creative director and then you would have to assemble teams or be employed by agencies as a freelance CD.I guess, whoever you're dealing with is rubbing you up the wrong way.
