I Like the ecard feature on your site. Wicked photography.
ALL of my clients use FFFFFFFin Lotus Notes, Its such a pain in the ass. Wish I could email some of my them to the moon.

dreamweaver. plain HTML [no CSS, javascript].
paste it into your email source code OR [better] use it together with a PHP mail script.

I would say make sure the server which holds your images is reliable. Send html emails and the images breaking or not appearing is very embarrassing!!!!!!!
Just a learning curve.
If you are using html why not track the users activity... ASP and database just for your own research?
Our client paid double for this!

no CSS ??
shit, i just made one for a client, with a link to an external css document.
tested it on both mac + pc, and the result was OK.
BUT: is this not right - and why ??

email clients like Outlook display CSS. But some HTTP email clients woill not display it [I think it already allows CSS display in the email html tags].
Just as a precaution one should use the most available standards. Create an hotmail/yahoo account and use them to test them.
One other [very important] thing: If you're using php [or asp] to send the mail you'll have to include even the not so important Headers [reply-path, MIME-Version, etc...] or it will eventually end up in Junk/Spam Mail folder. Check the User Contributed Notes for some good advice:

just used the mac dreamweaver html doc as a outlook template on pc...
it worked.

I did one by attaching the html file as an attachment and it seemed to work (absolute links to images on server)
