2 people jsut got let go! Account managers thankfully (or not for them), but are digital next on the chop?!
MD said that even though we won 4 pitches over the summer - very little work has come out of it....but then he said we will probably need to hire more people in January cos it's going to be busy as fuck.
I don't get it.
Oh well...I'm still trying to pluck up the nerves to tell my boss (who is safe as fuck) that I'm leaving for Denver in early Feb!

heheh.. s'funny, I actually chose not to move into a flat in Primrose Hill because there was a toffee nosed account manager living there... now I wouldn't normally mind but he asked where I was living and I said Hackney and he was like "oh, oh my.. ermm oh dear" I said "dont worry, I dont carry a gun (you dick)" and made my excuses..

I've encountered a lot of public school account managers... one used to get the piss ripped out of him at a big agency by the creatives, when a meeting would be starting, and everyone was getting on the pleasentries, they would ask him if he'd been hunting at the weekend... v. funny....er.... I guess you'd need to be there

I would just keep your head down and stick to your original plan of giving notice when it suits you.
They might ask you to go sooner otherwise, it has happened in places I have been in the past.
It might just of been they realised they had far too many managers and decided to streamline that side of the business.
Now that would be a refreshing change. . .
