I want to put my resume on my site..what's the best way? I was kind of thinking PDF...in which case I'm going to have to ummmm "purchase" me a copy of acrobat. What do you fools do?

Purchase Acrobat for a PDF creation? Just save it out of Illustrator. Save yourself the time and/or money in this case. PDF are by far the best way to present your res. online.

.doc man, people don't want to waste time, especially when there are mad hungry designers ready to pounce on anything that resembles a photoshop template.

BTW, you don't have to purchase a copy of Acrobat to convert from let's say .doc to .pdf. There are plenty of freeware apps not only at http://www.downloads.com but also at Adobe itself. They will do 5 free for you online.

i am with tomkat on this one. openOffice is an awesome piece of software. my msOffice software was getting buggy and I made the switch. will never go back.

Anything that i can't read right away is a waste of my time so... Make an HTML page with your res and then point to PDFs and DOCs in case i'm interested.
I was doing casting for my short film (Not exactly a design related) and was floaded with emails... Half of those sent as DOC never got opened.
