I was wondering if you all could give me some feedback on this design I'm thinking of using for my interface.

I know the logo is screwed in the bottom right, and it's not centered properly in the html, I exported so I could get some quick feedback.

Looks very dated, mate. Sorry.

the layout and typography are a bit rough to me - and overall it is way too monotone.
and when i click on design, and then on number 1, the little squares on the right are moving to the right a few pixels.

I like it but the nav area is bigger than it needs to be. Will you animate the transitions on the left like in the content area?

Jnr_Madison: Which parts look dated, the squares, or just everything? Unfortunately I do have trouble designing powerful, trendy interfaces.
stewart: I was hoping it wouldn't look so monotone after I added content in. I thought it might help to emphasis my projects.
nuggler: Originally I was going to animate them but unfortunately I'm running out of time. My reasoning behind having it so big was that I'd like to keep adding content, so that each section could would have enough space.

It's very grey and uninspiring to look at...much like lonodon looked like when I opened my door to go out this afternoon, then gave up on the idea and played 6 hours of Max Payne II instead....

you could make it a little bit more crisp, alias text/layout.
active/inactive status would help the navigation.
a little bit less gray.
you're on the right path.

One of my pet peeves with sites like this but mostly photography sites is that when you have #s as links, you would be better off letting people have next and previous buttons too. That way they can keep their mouse in the same place without looking it two places at the same time.

The button actions and white highlights look nice for me. But the scaling tweens on the right appear a little "cheap".
Instead of scaling you could try to let them pop-up one after another.
I personally would get rid off all these boxes and frames and keep the type alone on a monotone background.

square1.gotoAndPlay();

I dont mind the tweens, but add some easing or something, or offset the animation on each box maybe. They seem a little forced. My biggest complatint is the extra empty thumbnail/subnav areas. Don't add them until you need them, or script it for the neccessary amount.

How would I go about making the text more crisp?
The animations can easily be changed, I see what you're saying about it not working.
Thanks people, I wish I had shown this sooner so I could make more adjustments (This is my first big flash project.) I'll try and post a newer version later.
