it's borrowing until you feel guilty.

I have probably a 50 /50 ratio of purchased and warez. The warez I usually buy for a few bucks from my friends out east.
I know I should feel bad... I just don't. Rest assured though, I beg for fogiviness of my god at least once a week.

i think software piracy is wrong
but i also think it is very hard to avoid it... kudos to those who do
- vena0
i don't think you need to always feel bad for doing something wrong, it's just when people start trying to cop out of admitting they did something wrong that i'll start calling people jackasses :)

yes, praying to your god is a great way to lessen the guilt. Praise the lord.

agree with you on that one vena.
human as human i guess
- vena0
word, that said, personally i feel the only people obligated to avoid piracy in every case are businesses. from one business man to another, it's a level of respect as much as it is legal.
- Aliyah0
no no, I think you have misunderstood.. I do not feel any guilt. I know I should... But alas it is not there.
I feel about as much guilt for my cracked software as I do for occasionally j-walking.However, just because one does not feel guilt for something does not mean that they are unaware of the law.

exactly, same way i feel.
i'm glad we agree, let's toast to our great accomplishment.

The warez you buy??
wtf is wrong with you?
now that's the shit right there
your lazy ass needs to download it, if you wanna spend paper on it, at least buy it from the source
ridiculous

I have a friend who heads down to Japan every now and then, I give a list of stuff I want, and he returns with nice clean disks of cracked software.
It costs me a couple of dollars, when I say a couple I mean 5-10
And I do not have to waste my time looking for iffy cracks on the www. It is a nice pop-up free way to steal....

The people I've talked to that are selling those discs open on the streets of Akihabara are Chinese. Speaks good Japanese though.
They sell it so openly, some even bring chairs and tables and put them out there on the sidewalk.

I'd like to see some "Pirated software - 10$" banners with a few of the letters mirror-flipped

I bought some warez discs in Kuala Lumpar, it was a huge stall in a market, and next to me was a police man buying software for himslef and his son, in full uniform.
But i hear they are clamping down on it in malaysia because they would like to get more software companies to set up there
