I don't have one, but I'd like to get one soon and have read quite a bit about them a few months ago. Cool cameras, amazing photos.

I've shot a fair few rolls already. Mad bloody thing; works fine in the dark - crazy exposure time too means you can walk around with it capturing stuff

tip: lomos are like trucker hats.
- unknown0
sweaty and well worn?
- ********0
no, more like 1999.
- unknown0
What's that supposed to mean?
I think nice cameras have far more redeeming qualities than some POS trucker hats...

get you. what's 2003 according to you then?

who's got beef with lomo punk

I don't have beef with lomos. I own one. they're just trendy IMHO.
it shouldn't matter what camera was used for what. what should matter is that the photo tells a story that is interesting. At least, that's my take on photography...
sorry just tired of seeing a bunch of praise and admiration heaped on people because they use a certain type of camera.
example, I saw quamb's work and I was impressed. I didn't bother to care what camera it was...

Fair point.
But think you can have way more fun/experiment with an older camera such as a lomo - far more interesting results than a digital - whether intended or not
- brandelec0
thats cool, i just thought saying 'who got beef with lomo' sounded cool
i agree with you, we could care less of what camera was used, tools are tools
- unknown0
digital sucks - no grain, no point
- ********0
I didn't like digital at first... but I've come to embrace it for everyday shit.
makes it all that much more fun to fuck with older cameras... like my RB67. oops did I just say that?

"it shouldn't matter what camera was used for what."
I'd have to disagree with this comment. To achieve a desired effect on a photo it's critical to know lens type, appeture, filter..etc..even camera types alters photo quality.
As a viewer who's doesn't care about technics used to take the photo, I could see your point. But as a photographer, a lomo is like you said another tool to achieve a desired photo quality, very diffucult to achieve on a normal 35mm.
