Awesome movie, poetic, serene, destructive.
Made me think of Apocalypse Now when Brando talks about "the will", like the will for these guys to do what they did, knowing where it would end up.
I have to say it's way more powerful than 'bowling for columbine'

Gus Van Sant delivers. Went with a friend yesterday and we both left and didnt speak for an hour afterwards. No after words. No words. No words can describe the vibe this film leaves you with. Trust Fatty on this one. Please watch it in the theater if you can. Fuck DVD. You must see it full screen - the cinematography will take your breath away.TransFatty

yup, i saw it the other week and its in my top 10 of the year. i really couldnt remember what it was about before i got there, but was totally blown away by the tone of it. really slow, while not actually being slow. seemed very real.
one of those films i think people should see purely because it is different in format to most films, even if you come out having not enjoyed it, you may have enjoyed it on another level.

The bull in the shirt can be seen all over Spain [from the border of Portugal to France]. It used to be a billboard advertising for a know liquor until the government decided to take every advertising out of metropolitan to protect the landscape. By then, the bull billboard had already become a symbol, so they decided to let it stay, taking only any mentioning of the drink.
