Anyone find it benefitting? I see it run slower than 7.0... plus none of my hotkeys work. Photoshop 8 is poop... regardless of all the new features... it just isnt worth it. no bueno!!

I've always learned that newer is better. When I started Adobe PS 4.0 was out. I stuck with it b/c i felt more comfortable, then when I moved on to 5.0 and seen all the people still using 4.0. Seemd to me that all there design was shit! Stopped in time. Move on; new splash screen makes new idea's.

Anyways, did you actually buy the program?
If so, demand a refund and/or complain to them personally about how you were unsatisfied with their product.
If you didn't attain the program legally, quit complaining. It's not like you paid them to make the product, nor wasted any money.

My biggest problem is that it doesn't save down... I'd like it if it could save down to ANYTHING below 8. Same goes for Illustrator CS. i hate giving files to a printer or coworkerand not having them open.

Wow... funny to see a thread I started a while back getting revived again.
Ok.. so at the time I had a cracked version (like most of you here can afford all new software as a starter). But now that I have a legit copy, it is reassuring that it IS buggy. I won't get into details, but it IS slower, takes longer to load than V. 7... some UI features are not worth a mention.

the upgrades are excellent. But the program itself wasfaulty. Super slow and lagged way too much. It made the nice features almost worthless. G5's and 3 gigs ram later and it's working fine now.
