how does one get a copy of their old mugshot if they were arrested a long time ago?
i think it will make one hell of an xmas card this year!

go to the police station where you got booked, request it. There's probably a bunch of paperwork and some fees.
They wouldn't give me mine, though...but that was in South Carolina.

get arrested again. and then use photoshop's filter 'lost youth'.

in the uk you're entitled by the data protection act to have (for a small fee) a copy of your record and I presume any pics.. you can also request any CCTV footage from anywhere in the country at a requested time for £10 apparently though I'm sure your name must get 'flagged' if you make a request.
I can think of a few times I wouldn't mind seeing CCTV footage of, though I'm not sure I'd like to draw attention to them!

BTW: If you were a minor then, forget it. Those records get sealed and are for all intents and purposes gone. You'd have to contact the state archive...

you aren't allowed to get them. no one is. if photos are leaked it is cause someone paid out HELLA money to get it or police gave them. but technically you are not allowed to receive a copy of your mugshot.
