well. just had meeting with boss. i held off from quiting.. but i did tell her my feelings and that i do not feel conected to my job. and we decided for me to review the situation for a few more weeks to see if thinks clear up for me.. although (pesimistic view) i dont see that happening.
so meeting went ok.
I will give them a 2 week evaluation from today... (i love role reversal.. where i judge them instead of them judging me..)

just remember to take into account all the benefits that you have to cover for yourself when you are on your own.
look into how much your health insurance is gonna be (paying 100% now), and bye bye to a 401k (employer match?) and your higher taxes....
full time self employment becomes pretty costly

i think that outcome was the best-case scenario. and you're right, you're in a good position if you are evaluating them. i'd be nice if you still decided to leave and if they countered with a higher salary compensation.
