Keep the site up and tell the boss to fuck off.
And when planning your revenge go to the bible. Its like the pranksters bible!

you don't have to take your site down man. you don't even have to credit the company by name that you worked for. just don't specifically say that the work you did was for the companies as clients and specifically say what your duties were on each project.
fuck that creative director. what's that lil bitch scared of and more importantly what's he gonna do to you now?

Hey man...
Your X-company cannot make you take down your personal site. They could complain if you had solicited business claiming that you sold, and created those projects all by yourself, and the company was not involved at all.
Just put a small little side note next to all of the projecs, or somewhere on the site, saying that some projects had been created while you were at "X-company".
Remember companies document everything... if they are smart...so do not tell them to F off..just be cool about things..dont want anything to come back on you! and document everything they told you!! Everything!
You might want to dig up your contract. Most contracts state that 2 weeks notice has to be given by both parties. Unless you come to an agreement. So you could be owed 2 weeks pay, as well as holiday pay. get that shit together and head down to the Labour Board offices..[not sure what they are called in the US.]
Good luck man!
: ]
and have fun on your days off!
....and be sure to be busy putting that frickin portfolio back online!!!!!

Keep your work up and ignore the x company. BUT...put a copyright with their name in it to clear you. Chances are you signed a work-for-hire agreement and if you at least give them copyright credit, you should be fine. Don't bait them though...just put it up and ignore their requests to take it down.

dude, the work in your portfolio does not belong to the company you worked for.
it belongs to the client
the client that paid your ex company that paid you to create it.
sure any production files belong to your ex company. but the final product belongs to the client that paid for the work.
you creative director is a tard.
he's worried you are show up the company. they cant do shit to you.
the only one that could have a beef is the client with the end product.
tell you cd to piss up a rope.and best of luck to you

fyi - giant cockroaches make a rattling hiss when you approach them.
can be very much like a horror movie though they are harmless unless you mutate them with some sort of radioactive biowaste or expose them to Chemical X.......

Update...I got a job today and that joke of a agency can go fuck themselves. Thanks for all your words of advice.
Iam still thinking about the roach or the DEA idea though.

I've actually been looking for the past 2 months. And a gig opened up plus some freelance stuff and I start tomorrow. Was planning on taking my 401K and going to L.A. for a bit, but oh well.
