Do they still exist? Can you post some URLs?
Also is there a future for online galleries? I'm interested in setting one up but not sure if it's necessary? thanks

Not an art gallery, but worth a look: Rankin's QTVR photography gallery.

i feel online galleries will phase out traditional ones...if the trend of contemporary art is to become digital, there is no longer the need to go to a gallery to see artwork in person...online galleries can group artists of similiar styles and give them quick and easy access to millions of people instantly...not even an exhibit in MoMA NY can do that...are you going to start one piper...?
one more, a real space but with online work...:

thanks for your comment Ganon, do you feel that there is room for the 2 to merge? I find that seeing the artwork in person in the right ambience can stir deep emotions and feelings.

nowadays, i think the two will have to exist together, to be successful...but it really depends on art your are talking about...i agree, paintings, drawings, sculpture, need to be seen in person...but thats modern art...contemporart art will be/is digital, hence the demise of "real" contemporary galleries...these galleries will now be online, easily shown in/on the format where they were created, a computer....

that is true, thanks for your comments Ganon, you've been really helpful.
