I used to hate the XB but i have to admit its pretty good ...playing Simpsons hit & Run and it's a blast!

Ps2 no doubt, its free to play online, and you can do it with a dial up modem.
You can play ps1 games too, and its made by sony, there is no competition.
Xbox is good too, but I think they dont even compare.

i dont understand why there are a lot of people out there still going crazy over thier ps2, ive had one for a long time (and loved it) but i have only bought one game for it since xbox came out (gtavc) i only keep the thing around for the sequel. looks like sony is loosing gta as exclusive though... by by.
so you pay 50 bucks for live... big deal, its worth it. look at the features for online pay
and i dont know why someone said its a plus to connect with dial up. are you kidding me?

besides, you pay 50 bucks for ms to host all the games, it also means you dont have to pay each game maker for online play.
ps2 players will soon have to pay for online services. (you will see the cost in one place or another)

If you ask me, I dont understand why there is people that goes crazy over the xbox, when you have a ps2.If you ask me.

i don't care what system you play on but to say the xbox is inferior is silly. in just about every aspect it outpaces its competitors.
the only thing the ps2 has going is a few exclusive deals worked out with a couple solid games. the only that i wish i had is Gran Turismo.

And with regaurds to which is better, it is comparing apples to oranges. The XBox is a modified PC (why they modified the USB ports is beyond me) whereas the PS2 is strictly designed for streaming media. Such like DVD's and the internet. If you know how a PC is built inside, and care to see the differences between the two...

when i got my xbox (right when it came out) and played halo and ralisport, i forgot all about my ps2...
then i played vice city when it came out and i thought i wsa playing PS1. fun as hell but i had to wait for loads all the time and the graphics really cant compete.
i will say this though... i will own both of the next consoles and ill consider nintendos next console too.

what he means is that the psx will likely hit US just before the next gen cosoles from nintendo and MS. and the PS3 isnt going to come out till around a year after that. Its rumored that sony is hitting some major tehnical issues. the proc that they plan on using wont be ready till late 2005 at least.

ps2 doesnt have 5:1 surround sound, its processor cant handle it. It mimics surround sound, unfortunately

yeah, there will be a PS3, PSX is just PS2 with a hard drive to compete with xbox's versatility (easy modding) and multimedia capabilities. there's been a lot of hype over the processor that PS3 will use, IBM's "The Cell." It's supposedly so good, it forced Microsoft to switch to IBM processors for the next xbox. And the xbox will have a cpu that's very close to the cell processor
