You didn't see that coming?
I did, I think the first day LiveMotion existed.

It came in too late..It was obvious it would happen.

tried it once, hated it. good riddance.

got it with the adobe package work bought for me..
its kind of retarded..some semi usefull stuff, but mostly its like trying to re-invent the wheel...trying to do the same thing that flash does, but in a slightly less intuitive way...
;)i've used it on occasion..but never terribly succesfully...

My last company did some beta testing for AI 9, so they took us to see a free lesson/demo on it. It was obvious from the beginning. They would always be at least one version of action script behind and it never did anything better than Flash.

Now all we gotta do is get rid og paint shop pro and nutscrape, I mean netscape ;)

MS office suit too while we are at it... maybe start a thread on what software should never have been introduced?

it had one thing that Flash STILL DOESNT HAVE AFTER SEVEN VERSIONS!!!
A REAL F*CKING USABLE TIMELINE!!!
But really, LiveMotion has been dead a long, long time.

adobe made a strategic mistake, they treid to compete where they couldn't—actionscript. instead of adding things like text on path as in after effects and animation features.
Plus they build LM on the ruins of Imagestyler–software for amateurs who wanted to build web stuff.
that's what happens when accountants make strategic decisions.
It had one useful feature, though–batch replace HTML, but off course it was removed on version 2.0
It the worse peace of shite ever to come out of Adobe.

I have a friend who does timeline animation and swears by it....problem being now I've been given 10 wee bits to "stick together" in Flash........
looks like it could be a bit of a challenge....

Honestly, I think the worst thing to come out of Adobe is Acrobat.
What percentage of the time can you make a pdf without any problems? How about in OS X?
- MX_OnD0
not nearly the sazme functionality....yet anyway but has anyone used FlashPaper?
It prints to SWF, and everyone has the FlashPlayer so you can use that instead of PDF.....

I took a Live Motion class for some reason at University, I thought it was dumb but then when I got into AE it was the exact same timeline so it was an easy transition - MM should buy LiveMotion from Adobe and then stick the timeline functionality in flash! :)

surprise, surprise.

dude...acrobat? distiller? are you serious...i think hands down acrobat is the most useful tool i have. if my clients have reader, i can send them anything...invoices, proofs, artwork...
c'mon...sticky notes, editable layers? this is the monster of monsters...it's great.

I predict FlashPaper die in 2 years max.
I love the irony.
