shit. I'm leaving too.
in fact, I'll get a cracked copy from a friend to try it by myself.
only after I'll consider a buy.

Pshop exports directly to SWF. I haven't used much else. The filebrowser is actually usable now too.

Havent got it yet, but went to one of the usual Adobe presentations expecting it to be a lot of bullshitting and only a few new real advantages. The bullshitting was there of course, but they nevertheless changed my mind - mainly because they promished AI and Indy were alot faster than the last versions. Anyone w/ any experience on that yet?

I saw a demo too.
They're optimized for G5s and faster in general. There seems to be a lot of new Photoshop features, but I missed most of the demo on that.
The 3D in Illustrator is going to be so good that you will never remember Vector Effects ever existed. You can map vector or raster art onto objects, create objects by extruding or sweeping paths.

that's good news.

Hmmmm doesn't seem much different to me.

I'm thinking that upgrading to the whole suite might be a good way for me to get inDesign

The CS suite is the last nail in Quark's casket.

Nah, Quark will be the last nail in Quark's casket.

speaking of vector effects.
have they made that for AI 10 and OSX yet?

Believe me, as sucky as it is, Quark will be around for a VERY long time to come.
I understand that 99% of the worlds' newspapers are built with Quark.
- paulrand0
maybe it will crumble surprisingly fast, like the Soviet Union
- unknown0
maybe you're right, Paul - I e the program, but dealing w/ the sales department and customer support at Quark has been a lot like dealing w/ bureaucrats in the former eastblock.
