Why can't I copy and paste from Illustrator to Flash? It comes in all jacked up!

export as what?

Thanks Greedo. Anyway to preserve the colors too? I have some pretty detailed illustrations and the colors are all jacked.

Uh, i'm no expert on it. I've had to go through freehand before to get it right. Flash likes freehand, doesn't like Illy.

export as swf from illustrator and import it into flash.

I've exported as swf and into Flash and it worked well or you can do the AI too

the best solution is to copy from illustrator into freehand and then copy from freehand into flash. I do it everyday and it sucks..But it works like a charm.

Thanks.

this is a little off-topic, but I just came back from the PhotoPlus show in NYC.
I just saw a demonstration of the 3D in Illustrator CS. You can actually map vector or raster art into 3d objects. You can take 2 3d shapes and blend the shape, distribute them to layers and export the layers to Flash frames in an .swf. The extruding, sweeping, lighting and mapping features are going to make you forget Vector Effects, or hopefully Swift 3d ever existed.
