I called hardcore bullshit on this until my roommate got one last week. I only need one more referral, so if anyone hasn't done it yet, you should go for it. Here's the deal -
1. go here: http://www.freeiPods.com/default…
2. sign up and when prompted, click 'no thanks' for the offers until you hit the 'refer friends' page
3. you can either put in email addresses right then or do it later - it also gives you a referral URL
4. after that page, scroll down and click on the ebay page and create an account - it costs nothing (no credit cards.. i don't know what anyone's talking about) - then place a bid - you can even lose and it still counts
5. get 5 people to do the same thing through your URL and get your free i pod. already have one? use the new ebay account to sell your free one.
