thanks tank! it was my last piece and never finished it...a bit petty though i prefer plain backgrounds... i am not into the chaotic 1 million color backgrounds... i think a lot of pieces would have much more impact & aesthetical if they were painted individually... i think the best piece is at the fire-brigade of deurne, waterstraat or waterbaan... it's still there... at moment i am workin on some new 3d stuff in cinema, when it's finished i am going to put the very last piece... the most fun part about graffiti for me was the travelling and meeting other writers, the graf jams in germany were great! it's a nice community... the same for the hip hop jams in germany... lord finesse, krs one, etc... krs was the illest performance i ever saw... nostalgia!

(scroll down unitl you get to the "graffiti from pompeii" part)"Graffiti is important because it reveals what people really thought. It was written by the citizens of the city, not produced by the government. It was the uncensored account of what people actually thought. Some of the graffiti was written to shake up the public."

I enjoy writing - I enjoy creating a dope stencil. I like posting my stickers up around the way. I take pride in leaving a little something behind. I do these things because I enjoy to and because I can.
The act of getting up has evolved and due to evolution there will be purists as to what writing is, was, and should be.
it's all subjective at this point and
heading into 2004 we can all expect
more evolving from street art.those who can, do -
those who cant usually criticize or admire.

fatoe, point taken - but, the question wasn't "Who's your favorite street artist".
I'm an old man now, and haven't written in a long minute, but call me a purist if you will. Graffiti is bombing and piecing with spray paint. end of story. if you someone only puts up stickers or only stencils, how the they call themselves a writer?

has anyone mentioned CYCLE?
- davetufts0
Cycle (originally from DC) was nasty...SMK, Horizon were also nice DC writers

yo dave, i read the thread title, i posted my fav about 2 posts ago.
i did my part.despite what the thread started out as discussions were intercepted, peeps going off on tangents have touched a few topics which i chose to speak on.
now on to this topic, yes i agree. writer's are those who rock theirs.
no doubt.
