on the other hand...
you can overlook the positive impact grafitti culture has had on contemporary design, let alone the field of typography. these people are artist, and they're very talented. but it would be appreciated if they just displayed their artwork in a legitimate/respectful 'forum'with that said...
i was just introduced to the work of Phos4. i like his stuff a lot. laters.

He's also an actor. I don't know if he's got a site..Banksy's also cool, but he's a stencil artist.
Dave Kinsey... mm but he's rather a painter.. his work is very illustrative.

I was lucky enough to see one first hand last year on a visit to London. Grafittis Originales.

I had seen his work online and just happened to stumble upon one while overseas. Sweet.

Some graffiti is vandalism, some art I suspect he's talking about the artist. It's a clear case of "if you don't have anthing nice to say, shut the fuck up" and cats wonder why they are banned...just a mean spirited bunch of people. Anyway...
http://www.tatscru.com/ for straight up graph
http://www.kinseyvisual.com/ for characters
and http://www.workhorsevisuals.com for stencils
Scien and Klor from http://www.123klan.com are dope too oh and would I be a Philly cat if I didnt big up ESPO?

yes I like daim stuff too 4cY, very similar to delta.
cant believe I didn't mention Barry McGee - brilliant stuff
wouldn't really class Kinsey as a writer, nice illustration though.
- JamesEngage0
bullshit... I wouldn't want someone putting their art on the side of my house.
I know a lot of people are fond of it, and take pictures of graffiti to fill up their portfolios.
- JamesEngage0
Sorry for my spelling if you're getting petty.

anyone know of a really good resource of graph characters. I saw one once of a women standing blowing into the end of a pistol barrel. Line drawing (I think). Quite old, think it was in a book. Would really like to find it again. Any ideas?

A legitimate/respectful 'forum' would deny grafitti art part of it's essence.
It's punk rock. I don't remember punk rock ever saying please or thank you.

I'm not going to start a bitch fight here but James, you come across as being very narrow minded. Obviously you wouldn't want ugly tagging down the side of your house but to dismiss an artform largely due to lack of knowledge is just silly.
its your opinion tho :)

"I know a lot of people are fond of it, and take pictures of graffiti to fill up their portfolios"
WOAH!! troll alert!
- taskew0
check mode2 in action on a recent trip to puerto rico...
- JamesEngage0
You're correct, having an opinion can often be mistaken for narrow mindedness.
I don't mean ugly tagging, i mean any grafitti, it's encroaching someones space, in such as way as I don't want someones opinion on my wall.
How come whenever anyone doesn't agree with something, it's automatically mistaken as a bitch fight?
Chill etc.
