if CD days are over...
so are the days of quality recordings. if all our music becomes downloaded...well, fuck, that's the decline of music recording as we know it.
keep making CDs, guys. just make the music accessable eslewhere, too. iTunes, DVDs, you name it.

you know, what thom said is they were probably going to stop making full-length LPs, not CDs altogehter. as in, no more albums with more than 8 songs on it.

albums shouldn't have more than 10 songs on them anyway.
