I like the idea of more requent one off releases... sometimes great tracks are made cloudy when they are stuck on an album with completely different and sometimes weaker work.

mirola..i love ya mate :)
but please dont $@#%$%$%!%!%!%#!%^%$&^%@$%!%!$%!... at radiohead
they are amongst the few music artists that havent gone sellouts like ....
if they wanted, they could have released 'ok computer the sequel, the comeback' to make loads of money and no giving shit...but nope they didnt..

i love radiohead, i've got tickets for them at brixton academy in nov. i would just like them to stop fucking about with production and concentrate on quality songs. i've got total respect for thom yorke, he wrote a great article in the observer a couple of months back about fair trade and it was written brilliantly and well argued.
i think he just needs to stop sitting down to piss.

Perhaps he'll do it if you really want him to... it wouldn't be right, if he did it for himself now would it.

exactly engage. i always find it funny how music fans feel they have the right to get angry if musicians go in a direction they don't approve of. I trust radiohead to experiment with whatever they want to.

its bollocks, trendy tw*ts ike Thom Yorke just want to be seen to be trying to 'embrace' whats happening, hoping to be able to recieve credit for pioneering something, just like Bowie being the first to release tunes over the net - so what.
Albums are necessary to be able to judge a bands ability to represent current times as a body, like when an artist has an exhibition; there's a theme.
Otherwise everyone becomes a kind of one hit wonder.

I think T.Y. really meant after their record deal, they are free from record companies and their pressure to produce album as a strict format...
A bit like Pear Jam recently finished their contract with Sony and have publically stated they will never release an album with anyone but from their site - though I wonder who's putingt out their new rarities double-CD ("Lost Dogs" November 10) and DVDs
paying back the money you own to the record companies is why bands are tied to contractual "albums" - to make money is the record companies' goal - not artists'

good point sweetasbro, so how long is it before their deal is up? this was their 6th album and i'm guessing they signed up for 6 in the first place.
- JamesEngage0
the idea of the album was no doubt forced by technology... that technology has changed, and so is the music industry.

- JamesEngage0
salmon farming is too contrived, they should try graffiti :)
