I have a G3 powerbook (firewire) 400 mhz, 384mb ram...

anyone know how much HD space you need to install, i am running jaguar on my 667 ti and only have 1.5 gig free?

you can network to PC's with ease even in Jag 10.2 . Create a shared folder on your PC and then COMMAND K (connect to server) on your mac and there you go.

I think Panther is like 3 GBs. I just archived my stuff and did a fresh install. It's just safer that way.
I would recomend doing that.

You only need 450 MB of hard drive space if you do a regular upgrade. If you archive and install it will obviously take more. The easy install is about 1.5 GB. The thing is though, you don't need the extra 500 MB of printer drivers they include, nor the extra 500 MB of languages and voices. With xCode on my 667 Ti, with 1.5 GB, I ended up with about 1 GB left over without Archive and Install.

so around ~500mb is the least it could take?
wonder if i should upgrade my G3 500.. i am broke, and it's still ugly. (:
