i dont like SF that much. i have a few friends there but for the most part i feel drained and boxed in when im there. i like southern california much better.
youre not going crazy in hawaii tho? i spent a while in maui and i was ready to go home near the end. stayed too long.

ahh and the sony store IS cool. i took a litte trip one morning to that big ol sony mall thats all techie... and had some japanese food there and played dance dance revolution.

well hmm.. looked at subter site, wasn't too impressed with the selection, i'm sure they're not showing everything they carry onsite..

SF spots:
belgian beer + loud punk = toronado in lower haight
great broken beat + garage = top in lower haight on sat. night
nice shopping = villains vault / red5 in upper haightenjoy

marc chagall exhibit is at sfmoma for a few more weeks. then they're leaving the US for paris...might be your only chance to catch it.
but be prepared for long, big ass crowds if you go.

SF is sensory overload, too clique-y, scenestery, with lots of homeless asking for change at any place SOMA. The DJ and EMO scene is blown out. It was hot. But now its a suburban teenager's wet dream, complete with an Urban Outfitters and Starbucks. The Haight even has a GAP store on it.
But if you're visiting, you'll love it. Its another Vegas.
I doubt I'll get island fever on Oahu.
